For March, staff were invited to nominate a Nutritional Services Employee of the Month. The following individuals were selected in recognition of their commitment to students, instructional excellence, and positive impact on their school communities.
Penny Crosby — Milton High School
Nutritional Services Personnel
Penny has stepped into her role at the high school with determination, leadership, and heart. As kitchen manager, she has taken on the challenge of navigating new regulations, menu changes, and a new kitchen environment while ensuring students continue to receive healthy, delicious meals every day.
Penny leads with professionalism, kindness, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming kitchen for staff and students.
Her resilience, strong work ethic, and passion for feeding and caring for the school community make her an invaluable part of the high school team.
Cheryl Lamphere — Milton Middle School
Nutritional Services Personnel
Cheryl is a longtime and deeply valued member of the school community who treats every student like family. Known for her warm smile and positive attitude, she makes sure each student is welcomed by name and that no one leaves the cafeteria hungry.
Cheryl builds strong relationships with students, attends their games and activities to show support, and even volunteers her time for special trips and school events.
She takes pride in her work, mentors coworkers, and consistently goes above and beyond for both students and staff, making her a beloved and trusted presence throughout the school.
Paula Bombard — Milton Elementary School
Nutritional Services Personnel
Paula is known for her kindness, enthusiasm, and ability to build genuine connections with every student she meets. She greets students with a smile, knows many by name, and helps create a welcoming lunch environment where children feel comfortable and supported.
Paula goes above and beyond both inside and outside the cafeteria, supporting students at events and even stepping up to coach middle school girls’ soccer so students could have a season.
A true team player and mentor to colleagues, Paula takes great pride in her work and is admired for her compassion, patience, and dedication to students and staff alike.
